Public Policies
Pursuant to Act No. 107 of August 14, 2020 (Puerto Rico Municipal Code), municipalities must comprehensively review the Territorial Plan at least every eight (8) years. This comprehensive review process is considered one of the most important efforts for the execution of municipal goals and objectives.
It should be noted that Section 6.005 of the aforementioned Act provides that the Management Plans must comply with goals and objectives aimed at promoting the social and economic welfare of the population. Likewise, they must be compatible and harmonize with public policies and with the general plans for Puerto Rico and other municipalities, especially adjoining municipalities.
