Guaynabo, Puerto Rico- The Autonomous Municipality of Guaynabo has been invited once again to participate in the international Coastal Cleanup event, which takes place on the 3rd Saturday of September each year, informed Marilyn Maldonado, director of the Department of Forestry and Natural Facilities.

"This year it will be on Saturday, September 21, and as in previous years we have called our volunteers who are Boys Scout troops, students, neighbors and organizations to fulfill the task of cleaning the coast of the city of Guaynabo, right in the community of Amelia, in the Sabana sector (former Municipal Public Works), starting at 8 in the morning," Maldonado explained.

The director stressed that "it is important that all Guaynabeños unite to carry the message with our actions and raise awareness about the importance of protecting and keeping our coasts clean. Especially when we are inhabitants of an island".
