Municipal Secretariat
The Office of the Municipal Secretary constitutes one of the administrative units of the organizational structure that every municipality must have, as established in Act No. 107-2020, as amended, better known as the "Municipal Code of Puerto Rico".
The functions and responsibilities of the Municipal Secretary include, among others, the following
- Develop the auction and request for proposal processes.
- Publish public notices, RFP notices, auctions, notice of public hearings.
- Custodian of cemetery purchase and rental records.
- To issue the required certifications of the documents in its custody.
- Custodian of inactive documents.
- It is in charge of receiving and delivering internal and external correspondence (regular and/or certified) between the different departments of the Municipality.
