- The Land Use Plan (PUT 2015) is the planning instrument that governs at a macro level the public policy on the use of land in Puerto Rico, its development and conservation over a 10-year term. The PUT divides the land according to its characteristics and values, existing and potential, through three (3) basic categories established in the Municipal Code (Act 107-2020): urban land (SU), developable land, and rustic land.
- The Land Use Plan provides a framework for realigning and improving state agency plans, programs and procedures to achieve their goals and objectives. It is not designed to be used by state entities to contradict existing state regulations and permitting procedures.
