The Guaynabo Municipal Police's Gender Violence Victim Protection Program will hold an event on Saturday, August 31 called Mujeres valientes: elevando nuestro potencial, at the Yolanda Guerrero Cultural Center from 8:30 am - 3:00 p.m., informed the mayor of the five-star city, Edward O'Neill Rosa.
The chief executive highlighted that the activity will offer several talks and workshops related to Law 54 and protection orders, testimonials, self-defense techniques, self-care under the theme of etiquette, among others.
"It is important to eradicate gender violence and activities like these help raise awareness and empower people or women with the knowledge and tools necessary to prevent or combat violence," mentioned the mayor of Guaynabo.
